How You Can Help
When caring people join together, the smallest contribution and the simplest action can have a profound impact. Since the autumn of 2003, over $2 million US dollars have been raised and donated to the projects relating to The Palm Tree Orphanage. Every penny has helped!
What does a donation purchase?
- $50 feeds 93 children, 33 staff and 7 staff children for one day, or buys yearly school supplies for one child
- $100 covers a month's school fees for 40 children, or pays for the housing, education, food, clothing and support services for one child for one month
- $500 pays for a weekend's trip to the beach for 30 orphaned children
- $1,500 covers a teaching assistant's salary and expenses for a year
- $1,800 pays the yearly university expenses and tuition for one staff member or student
- $3,000 pays one year's salary and expenses of one teacher
- $40,000 can build and run a village school for 80 children for one year
